Kansas Ancestor Fair

October is Family History Month, and we celebrate by co-sposoring the Kansas Ancestor Fair. The Ancestor Fair is a free, one-day event with informational displays by local heritage, historical and lineage groups,  educational mini-sessions on a variety of family history topics, "Ask-the-Experts' tables, and more.  The event is co-sponsored by TGS in partnership with the Kansas Historical Society, the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, and the Topeka Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

We had a great turnout at the 2012 Ancestor Fair, with more than 300 people attending.  Plans are currently underway for the 2013 fair, which will be held in Topeka on Saturday, October 19, 2013.  Check back here for more details as they become available.
